The alumni support is to promote and encourage interaction between them and present students to share and upgrade knowledge and expertise in the chosen field. Duties & Responsibilities

Investiture Ceremony
The most auspicious ceremonial occasion of the college, Investiture Ceremony was celebrated on 9th December 2022, with full zeal & zest and enthusiasm. The Investiture Ceremony is one of the momentous occasions when the college entrusts hope, faith and the mantle of responsibility to the newly appointed college cabinet. This ceremony signifies the reliance and confidence that the college consigns in the newly office bearers.
The special guests Prof. Deepak Sing MC, Alumni of VET FGC College, Dr R Parvathi, Principal & Director, Ms. Ambily.I.P. President VET FGC Alumni Association, Ms. Lokeshwari. D. V, Treasurer, VETFGC Alumni Association, Ms. Bharathi.P.S, Head of Department, Ms. Rammya.B, M.Com Coordinator, Ms. Gowri Hebbar, Head of Department, staffs and students graced the occasion.
The elected leaders were felicitated with badges by honorable Chief Guest, Principal and other dignitaries.
Special Lecture on Latest Trends in Technology
V.E.T First Grade College conducted a special lecture on “latest trends in technologies “on 15th July 2022 at the auditorium for all the 2nd and final year BCA students. The resource person for the lecture was Ms. Hemalatha Kanala working as a project manager and she has been associated with IQVIA from past 9 years. She is an alumni of V.E.T, the love and affection that she has towards the college leads her to take initiative to guide the young ones in her college, it’s been a pleasure for the V.E.T to encourage such Alumni.
The main agenda of her lecture was to make students know about the key job opportunities in IT sectors, latest trends in technology which one has to prepare to move ahead in their career and she also gave them a clear explanation on how to prepare the RESUME to fetch good job opportunity in their hand, she talked about each one these by giving clear idea on how to get a better job and what students should do to get an excellent career in their future after completing their education.
ALUMNI AS JURY
FACCIO- a fashion fair, is an annual fashion fiesta conducted by the department of B.Sc-Fad every year. This show is mainly done to showcase the talents of the young budding designers of the final year students. It’s a proud moment that one of our alumni of B.Sc-FAD (2011-2012 batch) Mr. Chandan Gowda, a Fashion Designer and a Celebrity Stylist was with us as the judge for the show. He was very happy to come back and to be a guest of the show.
Orientation Session- “Associate Quality Professional Training Program.”
The orientation was organized by the Department of B.Sc-FAD for III & V Semester students on Thursday, 23rd Dec 2021. Ms. Bharathi.P.S, HOD B.Sc-FAD welcomed the speakers of the session.
This orientation was organised mainly to educate and shortlist the candidates for AQP Training Program. Shortlisted students will be interviewed and accordingly selected for the program. A total of 46 students attended the orientation. Mr. Vasudev Vibhuthi, Regional Manager, RSJ Inspection Service Limited gave a detailed insight of the program along with his team which comprised of Miss. Jyothi.K, Business Development Executive, an alumni of the college. She got placed through the same program and that’s the reason she is here to advice and educate her juniors and fellow friends. Proud of her achievement.

Ms. Vandana Rani, of Batch 2012-15, is the founder director of Vandana School of Design, SIRA, Tumkur District. She established her dream project in the year 2021.

Mr. Kishore. R an alumnus who studied in B.com, batch 2015-16 has achieved his goal and is practicing as an advocate now. We are very happy and proud to say that he is the member of Akhila Karnataka Kannada Sangha and also has received a prestigious award *Seva Ratna Award* from Maxlife Insurance for the services done towards society.
I extend my warm regards to my department which has immensely helped me succeed in my career. Having completed my degree in Fashion and Apparel Design in the year 2016, currently I am having a career in Kannada film industry. VET’s strong belief in holistic approach towards education helped me in preparing myself for the career I was looking forward. The wide range of activities both curricular and co-curricular and the support from the college was very helpful to build up my career.

It gives me immense pleasure to share my professional journey with you. I am currently running a fashion institute Srishti School of Design, Sirsi, Chikmagalur ,Karnataka. I stepped into VET First Grade College in 2012 to earn a degree of B. Sc-FAD. After the completion of my studies, I started my career as a faculty in Nirmala Jyothi College. After working for two years I decided to open a Fashion Institute of my own in my Native Town which is running successfully for the third consecutive year. I must say it was my best decision I ever made so far to choose VET College. I wholeheartedly thank the management, principal, HOD and my teachers for molding me what I am today. I want to say that VET has changed my life and I am proud to be an alumnus of VET.

My two years at VET has been an excellent memory to cherish for a lifetime. I am thankful to all the faculty members of the department for their continuous guidance and support. It has given me a wonderful environment and opportunity to learn and grow in my carrier. Started as a trainee for RSJ Services Ltd through campus selection and in a span of 6 months is holding the designation of Business Development Executive for RSJ.
