VET FGC PG Centre is a place where students get to develop in multiple aspects. I completed my Masters in Commerce from here. The college has contributed towards curriculum as well as extra curriculum growth. I had various opportunities to present papers and organize seminars with great support and encouragement from the faculty members! The college has been an excellent platform for my cultural activities as well. I had the opportunity to contribute as a faculty member as well. It gives me immense pleasure to share my professional journey with you. I am currently running a fashion institute Srishti School of Design, Sirsi, Chikmagalur ,Karnataka. I stepped into VET First Grade College in 2012 to earn a degree of B. Sc-FAD. After the completion of my studies, I started my career as a faculty in Nirmala Jyothi College. After working for two years I decided to open a Fashion Institute of my own in my Native Town which is running successfully for the third consecutive year. I must say it was my best decision I ever made so far to choose VET College. I wholeheartedly thank the management, principal, HOD and my teachers for molding me what I am today. VET is always a place for fun, learning, creativity, opportunities. During the pandemic also VET stood for all of us our families and provided vaccinations. During floods also our college took a step forward in collecting all needs for the people who had no food, salter, clothes etc.
VETFGC has got the best lecturers who are always there to stand by you no matter what! Lecturers here are our second parents, they never treated us like their students , they always would say my Children.
It's all because of lectures we are here successful today.

VET first Grade College, my alma mater, is the place which shaped my career into a fine art ready for painting beautifully. I got lecturers not only the best in the subjects but also who could suggest for our future goals. The campus is study friendly with good classrooms, library, computer labs etc. Apart from academics we as students are given opportunities to join the various cultural activities, NSS, literary clubs etc. As a new way to explore our hidden talent our lecturers brought out ‘Vanijaya Millana’, where the activities such as ice breakers, collage, poster making, product launch, advertising, etc. that are required for us as commerce graduates were conducted. As a whole the college has given me the directions for life.

“My days at VET were those filled with joy, excitement and eagerness, joy as in going to the college everyday with a fresh thought in mind, excitement towards getting to know new stuff daily and eagerness as to what holds ahead in the future, all these put together can sum up my years at VET.
It was here that we learn the importance of understanding the rudimentary concepts which helps even today in my professional endeavor, but what I miss the most is the camaraderie among our group, which helped gain and give respect among my peers, the sheer ability to understand that it's not always that you win and it's not always that your thoughts towards an assignment are the best, it's the ability to work in a team, deliver as a team and be part of the victory that was a key learning.
