Booktique Gyankosh -Library is the heart of VET FGC. The faculty and students have unlimited access to a wealth of Information found in resources like books, magazines, Journals, Hand Books, Annual reports, few rare books among others.
The library is completely automated in association with Campus Element Library management system. When students enter, their attendance is captured either with biometric or by entry in manual register. Bar code reader is used for issuing and received back the issued books. Bar code containing student details are issued along with the ID card. OPAC system helps the students to search the availability of books in the library. Open Access system is adopted. Internet facilities are provided. 10 systems exclusively are provided in library to facilitate uninterrupted access to e-resources and for browsing.
E-resources can be accessed through INFLIBINET and Delnet. The login id and password of Inflibnet and Delnet is shared with the students and faculty for helping them in research, teaching and learning.
New books are kept for exhibition for student information. Students are provided with free newspapers in order to inculcate reading habits among students and also Librarian Day is observed. Faculty and students are provided to access remote eBooks. A separate book bank is provided for students belonging to SC/ST categories. There is library committee in the institution which takes care of all library requirements. New books for every academic year are procured on receipt of requisition from the Heads of the Department and also on approved requisition by students. On receipt of fresh books, they are accessioned and organized according to Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC). Library circulation policy is effectively implemented and every student is given 2 books at a time for the prescribed period and then circulated to ensure effective usage and Extra books can be borrowed from Department Library.
As of now, the library has got collection of 14018 volumes with 4771titles, 6 national and 1 international journals,7magazines and 7newspapers. A good number of books exclusively related to competitive exams are made available in the Library.
The library houses one copy of E-Newsletters of various departments – Comtech News, Faccio News, Techno news, VET Disha and Wrap-Up comprising activities of the department. Hand books- Parichay, Anubandha, Mitra, Anveshane and Committee handbooks are stacked for reference. Library stores Annual Magazine –Drushti and the Conference Souvenirs, UGC Journal and ISBN books published by the institution containing research articles of students and faculty. It also contains dissertation reports, case study reports, and field study reports for reference of students.
The online public access catalogue has been facilitated to students, faculty and library staff.
Remote access to E-Journals N-list, Directory of Open Access Journal [DOAJ], Academic, Journals, DOAT, and database may be accessed through the internet.

The National digital library of India (NDLI) is a project under ministry of Human Resource Development, India. The objective is to integrate several national and international libraries in one single web-portal. The NDLI provides free of cost access to many books in English and Indian languages.
NIE library is now a registered member of National Digital Library NDL, An initiative of MHRD, Govt. of India provides support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular form of access devices and differently -abled learners. It is being developed to help students to prepare for entrance and competitive examination, to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources.
